The diets of National Football League players have garnered a lot of interest in recent times. To be more exact, their preferred snack for the sidelines after “The Athletic” released a study stating that NFL teams around the league consumed a total of 80,000 Uncrustables each and every season.
NFL fans were surprised to find that the Denver Broncos topped the list by consuming almost 7,000 sandwiches every week. Although we were aware that Travis Kelce enjoys eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by the box, they were still surprised to see that the Broncos topped the list.
However, the presenters, analysts, and commentators are the ones who are enjoying the genuine snacks. It is possible that those 80,000 sandwiches are providing the active players with the food they need to keep their energy levels up throughout the game. J.J. Watt, a former defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals and a commentator for “The NFL Today,” recently shared a video that featured the delicacies that were found in the CBS Sports studio with his followers.
“Welcome to the same time of the week! ‘Coach’s newest attempts to damage my diet…’ he said on X (which was then known as Twitter), accompanied with a video showing Bill Cowher, a former coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers and a commentator for “The NFL Today,” giving Watt a platter of doughnuts.
It is not only Cowher who has been demonstrating his fondness for sweets; other Steelers legends have done the same. Terry Bradshaw, a former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the presenter of “Fox NFL Sunday,” recently made a visit on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” after which he surprised Kelly Clarkson, the host of the daytime show, with his choice of dessert.
The Dessert That Terry Bradshaw Enjoys the Most
The four-time winner of the Super Bowl appeared as a guest on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” with the actress DeWanda Wise and the chef Curtis Stone. Stone was questioned by Clarkson about his new restaurant, The Pie Room, which specializes in both sweet and savory pies. When meat pies were mentioned, Bradshaw made a grimace. Stone declined to comment on the matter.
“Meat? ” “Ugh,” Bradshaw had to say.
“Do you not enjoy eating pot pie?” Asked the wise.
“Not at all,” Bradshaw said.
What fillings do you like to have in your pie, Terry? Stone inquired about it.
I am a fan of peaches. In fact, pie. In jest, he said, “Not meat pie.”
We are aware that Clarkson is a true pie aficionado, and more particularly, a Patti LaBelle pie enthusiast. She was quick to remind out that both “meat or sugar” pies are actual pies, and that they are both amazing.
On the other hand, the Pro Football Hall of Famer reaffirmed his contentious opinion over the pie.
See, I like it to be chilly. “Hot pie is not something I enjoy,” Bradshaw said.
Is it a warm apple pie? With a lot of enthusiasm, Clarkson inquired. What would you like, a warm apple pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream?
Additionally, DeWanda Wise was taken aback, and she inquired of Terry, “What are you talking about?”
During the time when Bradshaw was covering his face with his jacket, Clarkson remarked, “I am so angry at you right now.”
Later on in the program, Stone prepared a no-bake Banoffee pie in a jar for the cast and crew, which was a departure from Bradshaw’s favorite cold peach pie.
Stone told Terry, “Don’t worry, it’s going to be cold, and it’s going to be sweet, and you’re going to be happy.” Terry said, “I’m going to be happy.”
Although we are aware that Uncrustables were not accessible at the time when Bradshaw was playing beside the Steel Curtain, if the two things that he need are cold and sweet, then maybe the peanut butter and jelly sandwich ought to be available for him to consume during the game.
