Taco Bell's new menu has us speeding to the drive-through

Listen, we are just as big a fan of Taco Bell as anybody else, but there are moments when the Tex-Mex company has the air of a crazy scientist from a Halloween movie. They are always experimenting and coming up with mashups that are reminiscent of Frankenstein, such as the Cheez-It Crunchwrap and the Baja Blast Gelato.

At this point in time, it appears like we can hardly go a week without the Taco Bell test kitchen releasing something that is both novel and thrilling. Just in the past week, Taco Bell has introduced a whole new spicy sauce in addition to bringing back some of its most popular items. Do you ever have a chance to sleep, Taco Bell employees?

We won’t complain, though, because the words “new” and “menu item” are the fastest way to get us to the fast food drive-thru in the fast food industry. Therefore, we are not complaining. We are once again here, and this time it is not simply a menu item; rather, it is an entirely new menu.

A new chicken menu from Caliente Cantina is now being tested by Taco Bell

Back in March, Taco Bell introduced the much-anticipated Cantina Chicken menu, which featured chicken that had been slow-roasted and seasoned, as well as a new flavor of their famous fiery sauce called the Avocado Salsa Verde. The fact that the Fourth Meal vendor is now introducing a new version of the menu, which is the all-new Caliente Chicken Cantina menu, indicates that it must have been a successful addition to the menu.

As its name may imply, the menu includes all of the same things as the Cantina Chicken menu, but it now includes a new Caliente sauce, which adds a little bit of more heat to the dish. The sauce, which is vivid red in color, is crafted from red jalapeño peppers and is intended to take things to the next level.

There are six different dishes on the Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu. These include the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, the Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, the Cantina Chicken Burrito, the Cantina Chicken Quesadilla, and the Cantina Chicken Bowl. Each of these foods comes with a fresh Caliente sauce.

All of the items on the menu are prepared using the same slow-roasted chicken that has been seasoned with Mexican spices, and they are finished off with a sauce called Caliente, which is spicy, vibrant, and creamy, with citrus undertones.

Already hankering after it? This is the unfortunate news. In the same way that Taco Bell is testing the majority of its new menu items, the Caliente Cantina Chicken menu is being tested in select markets before it is introduced to the entire country. On the other hand, if you are in the vicinity of Cincinnati, Ohio, you are in luck. If you are not, it is likely that it will be at least a few months before we find out whether or not this menu is approved for use across the country.

Additionally, if you happen to be in Charlotte, North Carolina, you have the opportunity to sample some new Agua Refrescas, which are a new collection of beverages that are blended with fruit tastes, genuine fruit bits, and green tea for a little boost of energy. Strawberry Passionfruit, Mango Peach, and Dragonfruit Berry are the three delicious flavors that are available for the Agua Refrescas.

Which of the cities do you not reside in? The good news is that the enormous Cheez-It is back, and so are its legendary Nacho Fries. This means that there are lots of cheesy, crispy consolation prizes waiting for you at the drive-thru of Taco Bell.
