For those who are lovers of the largest fast-food chain in the world, the month of October is shaping up to be a very exciting time. McDonald’s has released a new adult-targeted Happy Meal that is inspired by one of the most popular comedies of all time. This comes only a few days after the company announced plans to debut the long-awaited Chicken Big Mac in the US later this month that has been much anticipated.
In order to commemorate the thirty-year anniversary of the popular television series Friends from the 1990s, the restaurant chain has recently introduced a brand-new meal package that is being referred to as the “Friends Box.” The intriguing new service is only accessible at McDonald’s restaurants in Spain, which is a disappointment for the thousands of fans that watch the program in the United States.
In spite of this, international McDonald’s goods do occasionally make their way onto American menus, which means that consumers in the United States may keep their fingers crossed for a debut in the United States at some point in the future.
The boxes are adorned with a charming design that is reminiscent of Friends, and they come with collectible figurines that are based after all six of the major characters: Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Joey. An exclusive new sauce called “Monica’s Marinara” is included with the meal, along with fries (330 calories per medium order), a beverage, and the customer’s option of a Big Mac (503 calories), Quarter Pounder (521 calories), McChicken (427 calories), a McRoyal Deluxe (530 calories), or a Center-Board Order (619 calories).
It is not possible to find the McRoyal Deluxe or the CBO in any McDonald’s restaurant in the United States. Both of these items are considered to be worldwide menu items. The former is a burger that is topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar, and mayonnaise, and the latter is a sandwich that consists of chicken, bacon, crispy onions, cheddar, lettuce, and a CBO sauce that is creamy and tangy.
It should come as no surprise that The Friends Box has already generated a significant amount of buzz on social media, considering the amount of attention that has been paid to both the program and the fast-food business.
“Phoebe is already inside of me. One of McDonald’s Spain’s followers commented on an Instagram post that was shared by the company, saying, “This is the best promotion ever.”
Someone another wrote, “A new need has been unlocked, and tonight’s dinner will be at McDonald’s.”
During this time, other McDonald’s consumers have been pleading with the fast food business to introduce the much sought-after Friends Box to the domestic market.
“I NEED this in the magnificent United States of America,” said a fan in response to a post that X made about the item.
“Bring these to the United States of America and Canada. “PLEASE,” read the text of another X post.
For those in the United States who are planning a trip to Spain in the near future and are interested in purchasing the special item, the lunch is being offered for sale for a price of €9.50, which is comparable to $10.41 USD.
