It is clear that you are knowledgeable about fast food if you guessed a Big Mac. However, what happens if those patties made entirely of beef are substituted with chicken that has been breaded? A Chicken Big Mac is what you get.
There is no need to be concerned if you have never heard of the Chicken Big Mac. McDonald’s has included it on their menus in other countries, but it has only been available in a few places in the United States for a short period of time. For a limited time, the Chicken Big Mac will be available at a McDonald’s restaurant that is located near you.
Chris Kempczinski, the Chief Executive Officer of McDonald’s, recently did a taste test in which he compared the Big Mac and the Chicken Big Mac side by side. He found that he like both of them equally. Are you surprised by this? One of the things that he liked about the chicken version was that it had a “crunch that you don’t get with the regular Big Mac,” which resulted in a distinct mouthfeel. He shared this information with the audience.
While we wait to test the Chicken Big Mac for ourselves, we will refrain from passing judgment on it. On the other hand, you have to agree that the idea of a breaded chicken sandwich smothered with Big Mac Sauce does seem appetizing, and we will soon be able to get our hands on one of these sandwiches.
McDonald’s is introducing the Chicken Big Mac to the entire country
After years of being a fan favorite in the United Kingdom and a successful test in Miami, the Chicken Big Mac is finally, officially making its way over the pond that separates the two countries. In February of 2022, McDonald’s unveiled the Chicken Big Mac in the United Kingdom, where it quickly became a hit, selling out in a span of less than two weeks.
Then, around the end of the year 2022, Mickey D’s made the announcement that it will try out the chicken sandwich in the United States for a short time.
After a period of two years, the Chicken Big Mac is now making its way to the national market, indicating that the efforts of customers in Miami have finally paid off. On the 10th of October, the new version of the classic Big Mac will be available on the menus of participating Mickey D’s restaurants across the country.
The Chicken Big Mac is essentially identical to its beef cousin, consisting of a sesame seed bun, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, and pickles. The only difference is that the two hamburger patties are substituted with two chicken patties that have been tempura-battered, and there are no onions included.
It is also essential to keep in mind that the Chicken Big Mac does not make use of the same chicken patties that are utilized in the preparation of the McChicken or McCrispy sandwiches. The chicken used in the new Big Mac is tempura-battered, which is a batter that is quite similar to the one that is used for the McNuggets.
