Although it is a delicious side dish, this marry me gnocchi has the same ingredients as the marry me chicken, including bacon, sun-dried tomatoes, and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- A half pound of bacon
- 1 package of gnocchi, which is sixteen ounces
- 3 garlic cloves, minced cloves
- One-half cup of chicken broth
- 25% of a cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese that has been freshly shaved
- a quarter cup of sun-dried tomatoes
- Italian seasoning, one-half of a teaspoon
- Crushed red pepper flakes, one single pinch
Directions
Step 1
A heavy skillet should be placed on the heat, and bacon slices should be laid out in a flat, unoverlapping manner in the cold pan. The stove should be set to a medium heat.
Step 2
It should take between five and seven minutes for the bacon to begin to curl and brown. To turn each slice over, you should use tongs. Continue cooking the opposite side for a further five to seven minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of crispiness.
Take the bacon out of the pan and lay it on a dish that has been lined with paper towels so that any extra grease can drain out. Chop the bacon roughly once it has cooled down enough to handle.
Step 3
Gnocchi should be added to the skillet. Do not stir the mixture. Cook for approximately five minutes. Mix with some minced garlic. The sautéing process should take roughly thirty seconds.
Step 4
Combine the chicken broth and cream by carefully pouring it in and stirring it together. Parmesan cheese should be added. To melt, stir the mixture. Bacon, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes should be stirred in there.
