Kraft Heinz Recalls Over 80,000 Kraft Singles Cheese Slices

Yesterday, Kraft Heinz made the announcement that it will be recalling 83,800 cases of its Kraft Singles Usa processed cheese slices that will be individually packaged. A voluntary recall was issued because there was a risk of choking caused by the product.

As a consequence of a “temporary issue” with one of the business’s wrapping machines, the company has issued a press statement stating that there is a potential that a tiny strip of the film wrapping might remain on the cheese slices after the wrapper has been removed. Further on in the statement, it was said that “if the film sticks to the slice and fails to be removed, it could be unpleasant and could potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard.”

As a consequence of consumer complaints concerning film that was adhered to cheese slices, Kraft Heinz was made aware of the problem. These concerns included repeated complaints from customers who claimed that they choked or gagged on the product as a result of the problem.
