Burger King's Spooky Addams Family Menu Features A Purple Whopper

According to an email issued to Mashed, Burger King has some scary stuff planned for Halloween. Fast food joints are getting in on the “The Addams Family” theme starting October 10 with menu items based on the 2019 animated film by MGM Studios.

If you liked that, you might also like our coverage of Burger King’s Halloween menu for 2024. Some of the new Halloween offerings are Churro Fries from Gomez, Rings from Things, a Kooky Chocolate Shake from Morticia, and Wednesday’s Whopper, a burger with a striking purple bun.

You can get your “Addams Family” fix at your local Burger King, but you better hurry since these new items are only available at participating locations and supplies are limited. Call your local restaurant to find out whether they have them.

We know our visitors look forward to seeing what delicious and crazy concoctions we come up with each year, and Halloween holds a particular position in our brand’s history, said Pat O’Toole, Burger King’s chief marketing officer, in a press statement.

Additionally, King Jr. Meals will have limited-edition toys based on the animated characters from the Addams family, so kids can join in on the scary fun.

The Halloween menu at B.K. and what to expect from it

The flame-grilled burger patty from Burger King is topped with pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mayonnaise, and Swiss cheese on Wednesday’s Whopper, which is the standout dish in Burger King’s Halloween menu.

This Whopper has a purple bun with black sesame seeds on top, much like the rest of the Halloween season. The colorful color of the bun comes from purple potatoes, so there’s no need to worry about fake ingredients.

The cinnamon-sugar coating and chocolate sauce on Gomez’s Churro Fries will frighten your taste senses if you’re in the mood for something sweet. While we’re on the topic of chocolate, Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake is a delicious combination of ice cream, crumbled black and purple cookies, and fudge that tastes like chocolate cake batter.

The Thing’s (onion) Rings, a tribute to the inanimate helper who keeps the Addams home running smoothly, round out the festivities. Hopefully, the new offerings from the restaurant will be more successful than Burger King’s Halloween Whopper, which was met with underwhelming reviews because of the unpleasant biological repercussions of its black buns.
