The adult Happy Meal that is being offered this year is officially referred to as the Kerwin Frost Box, and it is packed with both McDonald’s classics and new McNugget toys. In the beginning, consumers had the option of selecting between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets.
Each meal includes with a side of fries, a soft drink, and one of six McNugget Buddy collector toys designed by Kerwin Frost. Is it time for you, youngsters of the 1990s, to add anything to your cherished collection?
A word of caution: the soda you order will not arrive from a self-service fountain.
Just who are the new friends of the McNuggets?
All of the new friends, including Kerwin Frost, Don Bernice, Uptown Moe, Waffutu, BRRRICK, and Darla, have clothing that can be mixed and matched and each of them has a different story.
It is said that Kerwin Frost is “the Mayor of Frost Way,” and that he is someone who is passionate about art and who helps motivate the other Buddies. In the meanwhile, Uptown Moe is a neighborhood hero who is supportive and street-savvy, Darla is a singer who is soft-spoken and self-assured, and Waffutu is a charming optimist.
On the other hand, Don Bernice is known as “The Wise Stylist” and is responsible for creating clothing for all of the other Buddies. BRRRICK, also known as “The Cool Guy,” is an experimental, pun-speaking, and techno music aficionado.
Despite the fact that the toys are brand new, Frost’s childhood McNugget Buddies served as a source of inspiration for the design of the project.
When will I be able to find an adult happy meal?
On Monday, December 11, the Kerwin Frost Box will be available for purchase. There won’t be too much longer to wait!
